I bought a 716i Tread from a local gun store when it first showed up (late may 2020). After looking it over, I discovered the gas block wasn’t adjustable, but the area on the barrel where it was mounted measured .750″ and the gas hole was the same distance from the seating shoulder of the barrel. So I put an adjustable low pro gas block I had as eRead more about I bought a 716i Tread from a local gunxtra on the rifle and changed the stock to a Magpul CTR (little bigger, fits my shoulder better). After mounting an Aimpoint ACO, I went to the range. From a bench and resting on bags, I was able to get 1.7″ groups at 100yds with Lake City M80 ammo and the same with PMC 147gr Xtac ammo. The Hornady 178gr ELD Match made the tightest groups at 1.2″, but if I had put a magnified optic on it, I’m sure the group would have tightened up for both. The rifle shot great, but the biggest flaw is I needed to order a muzzle taper ring in order for me to mount my SiCo qd muzzle device, but the rep at Sig Sauer sent it to me at no charge! Over all, I’m glad I bout this rifle, I just wish there was an adjustable gas block for tuning the rifle, esp. for the cost.

I’ve owned this beauty for 3 days now and paid $1,300+ thru with zero failures. It’s a little on the heavy side but the trade out is the awesome amount of power you get with the 308 round.

I’m not kidding when I say that this is the Premier 7.62/.308 rifle. If this rifle does not win rifle of the Year someone has not done their homework. It is battle ready. There is no wiggle with the receivers. If you hit someone with this rifle they’re going to get knocked out. I personally think this is above Daniel Defense and for $1,300. I’m not kidding when I say that thisteal. Not to mention Sig Sauer and their customer service has really taking a turn for the better. There light years ahead of everybody on how they light years ahead of everybody else. Do yourself a favor and buy this gun.
